Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $1,275 helped to buy shoes and new clothing for women, men, and children.

Denis Roberto's story

Denis is 48 years old, married, and lives in the town of Tela Atlántida with his wife and two children. He has a tailoring shop where he produces dress slacks. Four years ago, he decided that he also wanted to sell clothing for women, men, children, as well as shoes, so that he could generate additional income.

He is currently requesting a loan of 25,000 HNL so that he can buy new clothing for women, men, and children, as well as shoes, so that he can take advantage of the Christmas season to increase his sales. His goals are to open a clothing store, improve his quality of life, and better himself spiritually.
