A loan of $775 helped to buy merchandise (canned milk wholesale, sugar, pasta, rice by the sack, and other items) for her store.

Lucila Maribel's story

Lucila lives in the city of Ica. She is 33 years old, and she is a young woman with a great will to live and above all to show that she can advance in spite of adversity. Lucila is a single mother. Every day she offers all her love to her two children, whom she adores, and above all she would give her life to be able to give them a life of dignity and raise them to be good people. Day after day Lucila works with much effort in her little grocery business. For four years now, she has worked about eight hours a day in her business, and she feels very proud and happy with what she does. For this reason, she believes that things are going very well for her in her business.

Lucila is very grateful to the Kiva lenders, since thanks to the great help that they have offered her, she will be able to buy more merchandise for her business, such as wholesale canned milk, sugar, pasta, and rice by the sack, among other items. In this way she will be able to have a greater variety of products and improve her income. Thus she will continue striving to make her greatest dream a reality: "to give a good education to her children and improve their quality of life."
