A loan of $975 helped to buy three computer workstations and three CPUs.

Ellen Rubi's story

Ellen is 52 years old. She lives in the city of Pisco with her two children, whom she loves and who are her main reason for living. She is a very friendly, hardworking, and enthusiastic woman who has a great desire to succeed.

Unfortunately, due to a lack of financial resources and the need to work from a young age, Ellen was not able to study nursing as a professional career, as she would have liked. In her free time, she likes to play sports, and sometimes she makes a delicious Ají de Gallina (chili pepper chicken) to share with her family.

With plenty of effort and dedication, and thanks to the support of her mother, Ellen runs a small business renting out Internet cabins. Every day, she starts working in the early morning. She works for about 12 hours per day. She believes that the business is doing well thanks to her careful attention, since she has a secure client base.

Ellen is very thankful for the Kiva lenders, because thanks to their help she will be able to buy three computer workstations and three CPUs. In this way, her business will be better equipped. She hopes to continue offering her services to more customers, so that she can realize her dream of expanding her business and having her own house to live in with her beloved children.
