Zinduka Group's story

René de Dieu belongs to the Zinduka group and lives in Gitega. He is 31 years old and married to Evelyne, a farmer. They have three children together, ranging from one to seven years old; only one of the children is at school. He has been carrying out his shop-selling business for the past five years and is on his tenth loan from Turame. With the KIVA loan he is being granted he is going to increase his capital and buy a large quantity of shop products (a case of Primus beer, lemonade, soap) to resell and make more money. Thanks to the profit he makes from his business, he can feed his family and pay for his children's schooling.
