Oliver is a 45-year-old married woman with seven children and lives in Kasese, Uganda. She has been selling firewood for the last six years and also does farming. She hopes to build a house, educate her children and expand her business to new areas despite challenges of inadequate capital to meet the demand. She says that if she had enough money, she would diversify to other fuel sources such as cook stoves and solar, which has no negative impact on the environment. Oliver intends to use the loan facility to buy firewood to sell.
