A loan of $500 helped a member to buy fertilizers and seeds for her plantation.

Dy's Group's story

Dy, 55, is single and lives in a village of the Ek Phnom district. To make a living, she has been farming rice and planting cabbage for thirty-three years. Her business currently earns her approximately 18,000 Cambodian riels (KHR) per day. From that, she manages to save about 6,000 KHR each day after offsetting her daily expenses. There are two members in Dy’s group and they are both first-cycle clients with VisionFund. Dy is leading her group to apply for a loan of 1,000,000 KHR each. She will use her portion to buy fertilizers and seeds for her plantation, as well as labor. She hopes to increase her family’s income in order to improve their standard of living.
