Reina De La Nube (Cuenca) Group's story

Reina de la Nube is a communal bank with seven members - six female and one male. They are friends and most of them work handing out product samples. Their work allows them to contribute to household expenses and help their families keep going. They are kind and pleasant, and very cheerful despite the adversities they face. They live in different areas of Cuenca, a city with a cold climate which has been a World Heritage Site since December 1999. Thanks to its rugged geography Cuenca has many sites to visit and enjoy nature. Its people are very charismatic and warm-hearted, and visitors to Cuenca fall in love with its culture and traditions.

One of the members of this group is María Fernanda. She is requesting her first loan together with her friends from Reina de la Nube communal bank. She lives in the Monay area of the city of Cuenca. She is 18 years old, single, and lives with her parents. Her father is a driver and her mother runs a business. The house María Fernanda lives in is owned by her parents.

At the moment she is working on advertising for political campaigns, but most of her time is devoted to her university studies, as she is in her first year of an accountancy degree. She will invest the money in fees and books for her course so that she can continue with her university studies. Her goal is to graduate and be a good professional worker.
