A loan of $1,175 helped to buy stock merchandise for her store.

Mechita's story

Doris, 40, is a cheerful, very hardworking woman. She’s married to Armando who is a police officer. She has a 12-year-old son. They are the greatest gifts life has given her. She lives in a pretty house she managed to build with her husband’s help. Doris’ activity is selling basic staples; to do so she opened a store at home. She also sells police uniforms that she manufactures in her small workshop also located at home. She does this work based on prior customer orders. She started in this business thanks to being involved in the police environment since her husband is a police officer in active duty. She’s become very well-known and sought-after because of the fine finishing touches she puts into her work. She’s been doing this work for five years and she does it alone. She plans to enlarge the store and increase her stock of merchandise like soft-drinks, snacks and other food items. This would be her 5th MFP loan and she feels good with the work in her communal bank and wants to continue counting on this support. She will continue to be punctual with her payments to have good credit history and be able to access more loans. She will use the entire requested 3,000 new soles to buy products to stock her store as well as articles of clothing.
