A loan of $3,350 helped a member to buy fabric.

Roba Corazones Group's story

The Communal Bank,"ROBA CORAZONES (Heart Breakers)," will begin its fifth cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Collpani Focal Center. The group has nine members and is headed by a board where Mercedes is the President. The members of the community association are involved in various businesses such as: running multiple neighborhood stores, weaving blankets, sewing jackets, selling coca leaves, sewing quilts, selling furniture, and selling fabric.

The requested loan will be used to benefit micro-entrepreneurs such as Mercedes. She indicates that nine years ago she joined Pro Mujer by invitation of one of her relatives who is a member of the institution. Today, she has a business selling fabrics. She has undertaken this business jointly with her mother for several years.
The requested loan is to increase her capital (by buying fabric) that she will acquire from distribution companies. She will later sell the fabric in her retail space. This workflow allows her to generate resources to support her family financially because she is married and has three children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, Mercedes replies that she likes the fast credit.

In this group: Mercedes Paulina, Maria , Oshin Fany , Yovana, Giovanna Marisol, Otilia, Arminda, Yessica Gabriela, Martha Anacleta
