A loan of $775 helped to buy a rickshaw.

Rene's story

Rene is 28 years old and lives by the side of Huicho, her life partner. They are both still childless, and are working to get themselves out of debt with the objective of fulfilling many goals in the long run. They own a house built from quality materials. She works doing lesser agricultural tasks such as administration of the funds that they invest in their home, thanks to her partner who has been covering diverse places in town with his rickshaw for the past five years.

They were able to acquire the vehicle with some money produced through great effort, and until now it's been very useful as a means of sustaining them in a satisfactory manner. She has it in mind for the future to start a business in a designated place in the home, selling mens and women's clothing in order to expand their finances which may allow them to fulfill other objectives further on.

This is her second loan and she feels very grateful for the confidence granted to her. For her part she is committed to punctually making the repayments. She feels very happy about how her communal bank as a whole is getting itself out of debt, and she believes that soliciting a group loan is a good way of doing things. With the 2,000 nuevos soles they will make the purchase of a rickshaw in order to continue providing a taxi service without inconveniences, and to have more income.
