A loan of $1,275 helped to buy clohtes and kitchen utensils.

Yessica María's story

Yessica, 30, is a single mother of two children. She lives in the company of her children in an urban community in Pimienta, Cortés Department. Jessica used to work selling tortillas and 8 years ago decided to sell women’s and men’s clothes, shoes, sandals, women’s accessories, pots and kitchen utensils.

She’s currently asking for a 25,000 Lempira loan to buy kitchen utensils (pots, pans and ladles), men’s and women’s clothes and accessories (earrings, necklaces and hairbands). Her goal is to move her store to a more centrally-located spot where there are more passersby and also to have her own locale. Jessica states that she’s very satisfied with the financial support from Kiva and ODEF.
