A loan of $775 helped to buy five-gallon bottles of water, 1/2-liter bags of water and assorted soft-drinks.

Freddy Arnaldo's story

Freddy, 27, lives in a common law union with his wife. He lives with his two children and his wife in the town of Azacualpa in Santa Bárbara Department. He used to work selling bread from place to place but a year ago started selling purified water in five gallon bottles and in half-liter bags; he also sells soft-drinks in assorted flavors.

Aiming at improving and increasing sales, he’s requested a 15,000 Lempira loan to buy more merchandise: purified water and soft-drinks. He sells through grocery stores where he’s contracted to be their supplier. His goal is to grow as an individual merchant and to provide better standard of living for his family.
