Oliva is 43, married, and lives in West Point with her husband and four children. Her children are between the ages of 16 and 25. Two of her children are in school, while the other two are not in school because of insufficient funds. For the past ten years she has been selling plantains, cassava, and coconuts at the market. She learned to sell from her mother. She makes a profit when she sells. With the profit generated from the business, she can buy more goods and contribute toward the household expenses. She is requesting a loan to purchase more plantains, cassava, and coconuts for her business. She plan to give her children a better education.
