A loan of $775 helped to buy a freezer.

Maria's story

María is a hard-working and enterprising fifty-seven-year-old woman. She had the sad loss of her husband a few years ago and is now a widow. She is the mother of twenty-seven-year-old Lenin and has instilled values and principles in him all his life. Thanks to that, he is a hard-working and honorable man.

She currently lives in a house made of quality and noble material that she rents. Arriving from the eastern part of the country, she wished to conquer new places through cooking. For five years she has been the proud leader of her restaurant of typical foods. She sells diverse plates native to the rainforest, whose seasoning and flavor are unique. She has managed to be well-received, allowing her to win the love of the people and thereby generating good profits. Nevertheless, the accounts on credit of her guests cause a considerable delay in payment.

One of her immediate priorities is to have an additional freezer to preserve her ingredients and classified meats. This will offer her customers a better quality of service. For the moment, her desires are all in relation to her business and in what she will need to grow her restaurant to be able to accomodate more customers.

This will be her eighth loan. She is thankful, as always, and thinks that working with loans is a good way to continue moving forward. She feels very comfortable with the way in which the communal bank carries itself out; responsibility and respect have always prevailed since she joined the group.

With the 2000 PEN, she will buy a freezer and be able to offer a better service to her customers.
