A loan of $1,200 helped to purchase a 20-cubic-meter Sistema Biobolsa biodigester.

Vicente's story

Vicente (pictured from left to right with his daughter, father and wife) and his family are farmers who live in the foothills of the Malinche volcano in the state of Tlaxcala. Because they live in relative isolation, they have to be as self-sufficient as possible.

To move toward self-sufficiency, Vicente wishes to buy Sistema Biobolsa’s 20-cubic-meter biodigester. This equipment will allow them to produce their own renewable energy, so reducing their reliance on firewood and the liquid propane gas tanks they have to bring up the mountain. This system will also allow them to produce their own high-quality fertilizer.

To help him purchase this system, he is applying for a 15,462 MXN loan from this company to pay for 36% of the biodigester’s cost.
