A loan of $775 helped to buy bags of organic fertilizer.

Ronald's story

Ronald is an enthusiastic 23-year-old youth. He is single and lives in his parents’ home in a rural district. Since he was 19 years old, he has been working in agriculture on land granted to him by his parents. Since then he has been working independently. Thanks to his parents’ teaching, he has managed to cope efficiently in the field. One of his best activities, according to him, is cultivating and fertilizing his lands, because this is what the productivity of his land depends on. He hopes to obtain more land and produce more potatoes and peas, as they are the fruits that give him the most satisfaction. In addition to working his own land, he also labors on others’ plots and earns 20 to 30 new Peruvian soles per day. Now he is planning to sow more potatoes, for which he requires support to acquire bags of organic fertilizer. This is his fourth loan with MFP. He says that he will be punctual in his loan repayments. He reaffirms his commitment with the other members of the communal bank “Nueva Jerusalén” in the activities that they carry out. Ronald will use the 2000 new Peruvian soles in the purchase of organic fertilizer for his potato crops.
