A loan of $775 helped to buy bags of organic fertilizer.

Veronica's story

Naise is a young 21 year old single woman and lives in her parents' home made of rustic materials. Naise has an entrepreneurial and charismatic personality and has been working in agriculture since she was 18. When she was younger she supported her parents in their work in the fields but now she does it alone. She grows potatoes, peas, fava beans and corn. "Before I used to work with my parents but now they gave me land and since then I have been producing for my own benefit", she says proudly.

It is because of this that she moved her harvest to the wholesale market where the buyers carry the products to other cities. Potatoes are in highest demand because her district of Huasahuasi is considered the seed capital of the country and the buyers give preference to the tubers of the area.

Among her priorities is fertilizing the land where she planted potatoes a short time ago and it is for this that she requests the support. This is her third loan that she has obtained from MFP and she is committed to being punctual in her monthly loan installments. She belongs to the communal bank "Siempre Juntos" and does honor to the name. The members work in coordination to pursue their goals.

The 2000 soles will go towards the purchase of bags of organic fertilizer to cultivate potatoes.
