Ulmaskhon's story

Ulmaskhon is 49 years old. She was born and raised in the village of Markaz, in the Batken province. She has one son, age 26.

Ulmaskhon's husband helps her with her business. For many years, the main source of income for Ulmaskhon's family has been horticulture. The family cultivates and sells seedlings, a business they started with a capital of 20,000 som. Ulmaskhon's son is also involved in the business, as he has become a skilled gardener. He applies fertilizers to the trees when it is time to do so, and he also treats them.

The borrower owns 0.2 hectare (0.49 acres) of orchard land. She also owns some livestock and makes a monthly income of 5,000 som. It is the second time that she is applying for a loan from "Bai Tushum & Partners". She uses all her loans to expand and develop her business. This time, she is requesting a loan of 100,000 som, which will be used to buy land, seeds and mineral fertilizers. Her goal is to increase the surface area of her land.

Ulmaskhon is, by nature, a very calm and responsible woman. Her success in developing her horticultural business shows proof of her devotion to her work. She says that her main goal in life is to ensure a good future for her son and his family. She is trying to do everything so that her son and grandchildren can enjoy a good life. She plans to use her earnings to expand her business.
