Mwanahamisi is 50 years old, widowed and has two children. She lives with her family in Shimoni neighborhood, in the town of Msambweni.
For the past 10 years, Mwanahamisi has been selling fried cassava. She is requesting this loan to buy more stock of cassava, cooking oil, and a bigger frying pan. The support of this loan will enable her to continue making money which will allow her to support her household. Her goal is to own a kiosk.
This is her second loan cycle with Yehu and she hopes to be punctual in making her loan repayments.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
