A loan of $675 helped to purchase cosmetics and beauty products.

Norma's story

Norma is a 67-year-old good, kind and responsible woman. She is a widow and has three children who are adults and have their own families. She lives in her own home. She makes a living mainly in the sale of beauty products via catalog, selling different items like powders, body creams, perfumes and other cosmetics. She has done this job for more than 20 years. She works on her own and doesn't need anyone's help because she is accustomed to her routine and has her ways to make her job easier and to do it more quickly. What she likes most about her job is that she can do it on her own time, and she can still do her household chores and provide care for family members. The business is going well overall and she makes a good income thanks to her efforts to place her products with responsible and reliable people. She hopes to continue in the same manner and generate income to keep living peacefully. This is her fifth loan with Kiva partner MFP, and she is grateful for all the people who made this loan possible so she can continue with her objectives. She promises to make her payments on time, and is very content to belong to her community bank since all of the members are very friendly and supportive. With the loan, she plans to purchase more cosmetics and beauty products so she can have a stock of supplies to offer to her good customers.
