Martha Valentina's story

In the canton of Rocafuerte, the members of the communal bank Mujeres organizadas (Organized Women) meet together every 15 days. This place is known for its delicious sweets prepared by the locals and recognized by the whole country.

Martha lives in that place. She is 27 years old, and has three children, 11, 5, and 3 years old, together with her husband. The two oldest attend school.

Her husband entertains at parties with his portable DJ equipment.

Martha is a good housewife; in order to help her husband, she requests a loan so that he can use it for his work. He has DJ equipment that he uses generally two or three times a week at parties and events to provide music and light shows.
