A loan of $775 helped to buy a variety of fruit.

Teresa's story

Teresa, 50, is a driven mother who, with her husband Florencio, has managed to get her children ahead. Together they make up a household in a house made of adobe.

Her business is selling fruit in a sales stall in an interprovincial bus station, where there are a lot of people. Some time ago she had the opportunity to increase her sales. She met more fruit providers and managed to stock up with a variety. In time she wants to send fruit to different regions because she received an offer.

She has had three loans up to the present, and she comments enthusiastically that one of her virtues is commitment. She's grateful to her colleagues in the communal bank for being very optimistic people who motivate her to continue working in a group.

With the 2,000 soles [PEN] she'll buy fruit wholesale to satisfy the current demand in her stall.
