Miguel Lauro's story

Miguel, 58, is single living just with his son in a village in Nueva Frontera, Santa Bárbara. He’s worked his entire life in agriculture and animal husbandry. He has many years’ experience with growing corn, beans and coffee. He sells his production in the local market.

He’s requested a 25,000 Lempira loan to buy fertilizer and manure for the coffee farm and for the bean and corn crops. He will also pay laborers to do the coffee pruning. He hopes to attain better crop yields and increased sales with the good care he’ll provide his crops. His goal is to buy ten cows and a truck to generate additional income.
