A loan of $1,025 helped to buy chemical and natural fertilizers and to pay to clear the coffee farm and his corn and bean crops.

Roger Alexi's story

Roger, age 23, is married and has two children. He lives in a village in Nueva Frontera, Santa Bárbara. He has been working in agriculture for ten years. He produces corn, beans, and coffee. He sells the production at the local market. He is requesting 20,000 lempiras to buy chemical and natural fertilizers and to pay to clear the coffee farm and his corn and bean crops. With this help he hopes to get good harvests and increase his income. His goal is to plant three ‘manzanas’ [Central American unit of land measurement] of coffee.
