A loan of $2,325 helped to buy auto spare parts.

Rosalio's story

Rosalío is a very hardworking, responsible man who is always very kind to people. Rosalío is a client of the institution. He’s 39-years-old, and married to Rosario for seven years. They have formed a family together and have three children attending school.

Rosalío has an auto repair shop in the town of San Felipe. He says, “Well, I started my business because I like repairing cars very much and seeing my customers leave happy because their cars have been repaired well. However, in order to do good work on customer cars I had to take courses and still take them.”

Rosalío was very keen on opening his own shop and for the last fifteen years he has been providing auto repair services in his shop. The shop is called “El Niño” and his brothers work there with him. The difficulty the shop has is lack of more sophisticated tools to do better work which is why he’s requesting a loan from the institution to see if he can buy the tools he needs and some auto spare parts.

Rosalío makes this statement: “I am very grateful to Vision Fund and to Kiva for the granted loan because it will be very useful for me because I’ll be able to buy what I need for my auto shop. Also, thanks to the loan I will be able to have my own space and not have to pay rent since I rent my shop’s current location. I’d also like it to be bigger because if my business grows satisfactorily it will be easier to pay for my children’s schooling and someday see them graduate as professionals.”
