A loan of $1,175 helped to buy construction materials and more things for his hardware business like tubes, cables, screws, and brackets, etc.

Andres's story

Andrés is a man who is always very busy with his work in his different businesses. However, he is always very happy, and he always has a witty remark to make us laugh. Andrés, age 54, has been married to Lurdes for several years, and they are a family with four children. Andrés has a store selling hardware, construction materials, and a stationery items. He also has a truck, which is used for trips that he needs to make. This time he is requesting a loan to buy construction materials and more things for his hardware business like tubes, cables, screws, and brackets, etc. He says that he started his business because he already had experience and a place to put his businesses. The difficulty that occurs is when he gives his neighbors credit. Many times they do not pay him, and this is a very big financial loss for Andrés. Even though he says that he does not give credit to just anybody, he generally gives credit to the people he knows. Even though Andrés has always been very hard-working, he believes that during the times we are now living we cannot aspire to much because the economy is not very good. However, he does have goals with his family. He has a son who will soon graduate as a veterinarian. They want to be able to have an animal farm where he, himself, knows how to take care of them. At the same time he will continue getting ready very eagerly.
