Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $1,000 helped buy 25 egg-laying hens and 10 guinea hens.

Victorine's story

39 years of age, Victorine is married and a mother of two children. Her children go to school. The oldest and youngest are twelve and seven years old respectively.

She has been breeding poultry for a few years. In order to increase her working capital and to meet consumer demand, she requested and obtained a micro-loan from Finadev. This loan will allow her to grow her poultry business by purchasing egg-laying hens and guinea gens and to contribute to her children’s school fees.
