Ikmal's story

Ikmal is a 44-year-old Lebanese divorced woman living with two school-aged children. She has owned a mobile shop since 2010 where she puts up for sale a large quantity of mobile phones and related accessories. With the intention of being able to support her children and offer them a respectable life, Ikmal works really hard and nonstop. However, staying out for work all day long is very difficult for both mother and children especially with the absence of the father. That’s why, Ikmal is asking today for a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to increase her merchandise selection of new mobile phones and accessories with the intention of increasing her sales and therefore her income. Ikmal’s only wish is to ensure good life conditions to her children, and she is ready to do whatever it takes to achieve her goals.
