A loan of $1,175 helped to purchase groceries to expand her business and improve her store.

Juana Emérita's story

Juana is 54 years old and married. She lives with her husband in the urban area of Mochumí, which is a predominantly agricultural district comprising several communities which are considered rural, which indicates their inhabitants don't have basic services.

She has had a grocery store set up in her home for six years, where she offers the public a variety of essential goods, groceries, beauty products, and meat from the animals she raises herself. Her business supplies her neighbors and the local residents with their basic staples, so she always has a stable customer base. The income she obtains from her business allows her to help her husband provide for their household.

Juana is requesting a loan of 3,000 nuevos soles, which will allow her to continue purchasing products to maintain her business. She also wants to make improvements to her store. She wants to thank in advance all of the people who are helping her achieve this goal through Kiva.
