A loan of $1,175 helped to buy 400 sacks of organic fertilizer.

Herminia's story

Forty-eight-year-old Herminia is a simple woman. She lives with her husband Victor and her seven children who she cares for with love in the house that she bought twenty-five years ago. The area where she lives is favorable for growing pumpkin. It is because of this that in this season, she wishes to invest her efforts and money in sowing various plots of agricultural land.

She inherited her good judgment in agriculture from her parents who, like her, were good farmers. "I was born and grew up in the countryside. I know a lot about sowing and the seasons," she says. When she started her family, she decided to make her living in an economic activity that she had learned throughout her whole life: agriculture. She already has twenty years of experience in sowing and in selling her products. She says that she has regular customers who buy her crops before the harvest. Her speciality is corn, potato, and pumpkin.

She also raises animals, like pigs, cows, and chickens that help her make extra constant money for her home. This is her ninth loan with MFP. In this new opportunity she promises to be punctual with her repayments. The financial support she has already received helps her to boost and nourish her crops.

Herminia will invest the money in the purchase of 400 sacks of organic fertilizer to spread among her crops.
