Les Dix Commandements 1 Group
In this Group: Durel, Clardy, Michel, Ella, Jean Yvon, Fredoiline
Durel, age 31, is single and has no children, but he provides for his 7-year-old nephew and 19-year-old sister. He is representing the Les Dix Commandements 1 group.

Durel has a game room where customers come to play video and computer games. He also sells phone cards at his game room. He has been operating this business for three years. As many people do not have their own game consoles in Congo they go to games rooms that provide the TV, console, and a variety of games. These are very popular around Brazzaville. He plans to use the loan to buy phone cards and more video games in order to keep an up-to-date variety for his customers to play.

Durel has received three previous loans from Kiva's partner, HOPE Congo. He has a good repayment record. He aims to buy other games shops around the city as he expands.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
