A loan of $600 helped to grow her business by purchasing more merchandise like rice, vegetables, and snacks.

Juana Herenia's story

Juana is a 46 year old mother who lives together with her 12 year old son in a rural center in the agricultural district of Mocupe, located 40 minutes from the city of Chiclayo.

She works selling groceries and raising small animals in her home. This income allows her to help her youngest child get ahead and to pay for family expenses. In the zone, her good customer service has made her quite well known, and also since where she lives there are not many general stores, her business always has a stable client base.

Juana wants to grow her business by purchasing more merchandise like rice, vegetables, and snacks. In this way she can increase her sales and make more money, offering her customers a greater variety of products. For that reason she has thought it convenient to ask for a loan of 1500 nuevos soles (Peruvian currency) from Kiva partner Edpyme Alternativa.

She is a trustworthy and responsible woman. Previously she has had loans with Adpyme Alternativa and she has demonstrated her punctuality in her payments.
