A loan of $1,175 helped buy traditional clothing to resell.

Ronald's story

Ronald is 36 years old and lives in the town of Arua Hill in the Arua region of Uganda. He is married and has 4 children, with 3 of them currently in school. For the past 15 years, Ronald has been working hard to manage his traditional garment store, which sells traditional clothing.

To help expand his business, Ronald has requested a loan of 3000000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more traditional garment clothing for his business expansion, and will help Ronald to generate greater profits and develop his family. Ronald hopes that in the future he will be able to be self-sufficient.

Ronald is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Ronald who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
