A loan of $825 helped to purchase garments, undergarments, shoes and beauty products.

Rosalba's story

63-year-old Rosalba lives in the southern area of her town. She sells merchandise and products through directories and catalogs, because she works with a company that provides them. In her business she has been selling lotions, haircare products, perfumes, garments and shoes for the past 12 years. She started her business in the year 2000, because she decided to get an income in order to help support her family. She sells for cash and on a daily basis, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Her customers are friends and neighbors who work as employees of various companies. Rosalba has had five loans with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo; this is her sixth loan, and she plans to use it to purchase garments and undergarments, shoes and beauty products. These products have appeared in her catalogs at special prices, and she needs to make an impact on her customers with good offers. With her previous loans she has succeeded in increasing her working capital and expanding her clientele. Her current investment will be successful because she'll meet all the orders her customers have made. With that, she'll get her capital to rotate much more and she'll increase her profits.
