A loan of $525 helped to buy meat, bags of coffee, soap, and all types of candies.

Suyapa Esperanza's story

Doña Suyapa is 42 years old, married, and has five children. They live in a neighborhood in the city of San Pedro Sula.

Doña Suyapa has been managing a convenience store for four years. She offers basic household products such as bread, sugar, rice, lard, sauces, and other items. Suyapa says that her business has achieved good results and has enabled her to help her husband with the household expenses.

She is requesting her fifth loan in the amount of 10,000 HNL so that she can restock her business by purchasing products such as meat, bags of coffee, soap, and all types of candies. Doña Suyapa believes that restocking her business with more inventory will increase her sales, thus resulting in a favorable improvement in her income.
