A loan of $400 helped to buy veterinary medicine.

Mari's story

Nancy, 41, is a hardworking woman. She lives with her two children, Deysi and Yareli, who she cares for in her own house. Her main work is caring for her animals that she raises with much dedication. She owns several head of sheep that she keeps on farm estates because it’s prohibited to keep them at home because of the space they’d take up. Because of this, she visits them constantly while they are being cared for by shepherds she pays monthly. In addition, she works in agriculture but only during the planting season. For example, she has lima beans and potatoes that will be harvested soon. She’s sure to earn good income because her crops are healthy and growing problem-free. At nights, she works caring for her town’s small hospital earning a monthly salary. She’s always been noted for being a very enterprising woman; in the afternoons she cooks in the cafeteria.

She’s a member of the “Productores Agrícolas Las Emprendedoras” communal bank and this is the 2nd MFP loan. She is grateful for the financial support she’s constantly being given. Now she has the means to improve her business. She promises to be punctual with her payments since she’s been taught to be responsible. Nancy will use the money to buy medicine to treat her animals with vitamins and calcium so that they will grow and develop in a healthy way.
