A loan of $1,600 helped a member to purchase kitchenware products for resale.

Step Up Woman Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 33-year-old Saliwe from Mutare. She is married with two children, both attending school. Saliwe runs a retail business selling kitchenware. The business has been in operation for two years. She says the main challenge faced is lost payments from customers who don't pay. Saliwe has requested a loan of $400 to purchase a greater variety of kitchenware products. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to move into her own stand. In the future, Saliwe plans to expand into buying and selling kitchen machinery.
