Transito De Los Angeles's story

Doña Transito de los Angeles is taking out her fifth loan from the village bank El Control. She lives in the community of Punta Corral, which belongs to the parish of Turi in Cuenca and is known as the lookout of the city since it is from there that one can admire a large part of the city of Cuenca. Its people make a living by breeding animals, as well as from agriculture and trade. Doña Transito de los Angeles is 42 years old and married. She has conceived three children, who are 21, 19, and 17 years of age. Her first child, a son, is married and lives independently of her. Her second child, also a son, works and helps her with the household expenses. Her youngest child, a daughter, is studying at a beauty school. The house in which she lives is her own. Doña Transito de los Angeles spends most of her time in her house doing the household chores. She also makes a living from agriculture and the breeding of hens. Her harvested crops are for household consumption and she sells any existing surplus. She is going to invest her new loan in the construction of a shed for breeding chickens. Her goal is to have an operation to lower her weight in order to improve her health.
