A loan of $1,100 helped to buy products of first necessity, of stationery, and paper products.

Carlota Floricelda's story

In the seaside resort of San Clemente in Protoviejo, every 15 days the communal bank 15 de Diciembre meets. This place is known for its beautiful beaches that are visited by many local and foreign tourists. It offers a diversity of beautiful places and a rich variety of foods typical to the region.

Carlota lives in this place. She is 46 years old, married, and from this relationship she has three children. They are all adults. One of them still lives with her. Her husband works in agriculture.

To get ahead, Carlota has a store in her home with her family. There she sells all kinds of products like: rice, sugar, oils, detergents, and certain stationery and paper products. She works every day from 6:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and sometimes until later. Her son and her husband help her in her work when they can and are free, but generally it is she who spends the most time in her business since it is there where she likes to be. This is because as well as making a living, she entertains herself and learns about the news that happens around her. She has been with her business more than 15 years and doing very well.

She will use this loan to stock her store. She is going to buy products of first necessity, of stationery, and paper products. She has been with the communal bank for two cycles and she likes it because she has made more friends in the group.

Her goal is to continue ahead in her business and that her business grows more every day.
