A loan of $1,175 helped to buy fabric, accessories, and supplies to make costumes and to repair some cartoon boots she has waiting in her business.

Patricia's story

Patricia is 31 years old. She is a happy, friendly, and enterprising woman. She is happily married and has her own house where she lives with her husband and her three small children whom she wants to offer a good quality of life.

Patricia’s work consists of cartooning for children’s parties and other events, and she has a business where she sells piñatas, rents costumes for all occasions, and offers buffet services for requested events. She has a fitted-out facility in her own home. She has been doing this for two years and works with the help of two ladies that support her in the making of costumes and they have become strategic business partners. She just began making cartoons and is continually growing.

What she likes about her work is that she can arrange her time, and also having her friends at her side in the business she feels peaceful because she trusts them and is sure that together they will follow the road towards progress. She hopes that later she can expand her business and it is going very well although at times she lacks some costumes because she has so many customers.

This is her fifth loan through MFP, and she is very grateful for the loan opportunity given her and for the financial backing that she needs to get ahead. She promises to pay her monthly payments in a punctual manner and to continue working very responsibly together with the members of her communal bank.

With the amount requested of 3000 soles, she will buy fabric, accessories, and supplies in order to make costumes and to repair some cartoon boots that she has waiting.
