A loan of $1,025 helped to buy manure and fertilizer and to pay labor costs.

Mario Norberto's story

Mario, 32, is single living in the town of Ilama in Santa Bárbara with his son. Mario has always worked in agriculture and started growing coffee 15 years ago. The zone he lives in is apt for this type of crop. He sells the coffee in the damp parchment stage in the local market. He’s decided to request a 20,000 Lempira loan to buy manure and fertilizer and to pay labor costs to plant a coffee nursery aiming at improving his farm and increasing production. His goal is to continue growing and improving his crops to provide wellbeing for his family.
