A loan of $1,100 helped to buy two lactating cows.

Mirna Morelia's story

Mirna is a 56 year old widow, and she has five children. She lives with her three minor children; the two oldest live outside of the country.

Mirna has been taking care of livestock for over five years. When her husband died she took charge, with help from her children, of all of the household expenses. She goes to Tiangue, which is 20 kilometers from her house, to buy the animals.

The loan that she is requesting from the Fundación Campo is to buy two lactating cows. Her objective is to increase the amount of available milk to sell and to sell curds. She intends to process the milk in order to make cheese and cream to sell. She wants to teach her children everything good so that they will become good people.
