Ny's Group's story

Ny is 53 years old, and she has one daughter. She is a villager from a rural area located in the Kror Kor district of Pursat province, Cambodia. She has earned a living through selling grocery items in her local area for 19 years. Ny earns approximately 15,400 KHR (Cambodian riels) per day from the current business, but she can manage to save about 10,000 KHR each day after offsetting daily expenses.

Ny’s group consists of two members who are all first loan-cycle clients with VisionFund. She and her group member are asking for a loan of 1,000,000 KHR and 200,000 KHR respectively. As the group leader, she is going to use her portion to buy more grocery items for selling such as sugar, salt, water and eggs, etc. Ny hopes to increase her income from the current business so as to better her family’s lifestyle.
