A loan of $3,600 helped a member to buy hairdressing and beauty supplies.

Diamantes - 26 Group's story

Diamantes--26 Communal Bank is made up of eight members, six women and two men. Solangel, 25, is the president of the bank. She has one child, age 3, and makes a living as a hairstylist, manicurist, and make-up artist in her beauty salon in the Santa Rosa neighborhood of La Paz.

This loan is Solangel's second sequence with the institution. She's going to use it to buy hairdressing and beauty products, and also for some materials she needs. This way she'll increase her working capital. She's requesting this loan because she needs to expand her business.

The challenge Solangel faces in her business is having a greater share of the market. She's going to use the profits to continue buying materials and improving her work.

She's happy about the loan and grateful to the institution for their help granting it to her because this is the only job that allows her to support herself.

In this group: Maria Teresa, Andrea, Elena, Solangel, Trinidad, Gustavo Angel, Julia , Maximo
