A loan of $1,025 helped to buy farming supplies.

Luis's story

Sr. Luis is 44 years old and single, but in a common-law relationship. Luis finished elementary school and lives in his own home. He has three children who are financially dependent on him.

Luis engages in farming activities such as growing potatoes, beans, peas, and carrots on land that he owns. He waters his crops by utilizing the irrigation and sprinkler systems that are shared within the community of K’ayarari in the town of Tíraque. This area is located quite some distance from the city of Cochabamba, specifically at Km. 89 along the old highway to Santa Cruz.

Luis and his family say that they want to improve and increase their farming production. In order for this to happen, they need to request investment capital for buying farming supplies. By obtaining a loan in this manner, he will be able to generate more income so that he can improve his family’s quality of life.
