A loan of $1,025 helped to buy stock merchandise for her store and to plaster the walls in two bedrooms at home.

Lidia Liliana's story

Lidia, 22, is married and has a son; she lives in Olanchito, Yoro. She’s had a grocery store for almost two years where she sells basic staples like meat, rice, beans, flour, canned goods, dairy products, toilet paper, cured meats, snacks, condiments, eggs, bread, candy, basic grains and other grocery items.

Lidia has requested a 20,000 Lempira loan to better stock the store with food items and she’ll use 10% of the loan for home improvements (she will plaster the walls in two bedrooms). Her goal is to make the business grow and to have the best store in her neighborhood, to earn more profits and to move her family forward and improve their living conditions.
