A 57-year-old married woman, Ry has been supporting her family of three children via her two-hectare rice-cropping operation. Besides helping on the rice field, her husband also works as a quarry worker. Ry has been in this business for 20 years. She has never been involved with Kiva partner VisionFund before, but is now seeking her first loan in the amount of 700 US dollars in order to buy fertilizer and a decent motorbike for supporting her business as well as for commuting. She hopes that she can generate a high yield and high profits, and that she can obtain a better standard of living than before.
