Turgunbubu's story

Turgungbubu is a member of the “Zakshylyk” group and is the group’s leader. Turgungubu is 44 years old; her husband died prematurely in 2008. Turgungubu has brought up four children. Now she has two school-age children in her care. Her eldest son is married and works in Russia. Turgungbubu has received secondary education. After finishing high school, she got married. When the collective farm system was dissolved and she received a land plot, she started growing produce. At present the family continues to grow produce and raise livestock; they work 1,85 ha [about 4,5 acres] of land. Turgunbubu is a very active and hard-working person by nature. Having to face many challenges on her own after her husband’s death, Turgunbubu persevered thanks to remaining goal-oriented and calm. Turgunbubu has turned to “Bai Tushum & Partners” for a loan in the amount of 100,000 KGS intended to buy livestock. In the future, Turgunbubu plans to expand her livestock and improve her family’s live conditions. Her goal in life is to raise children and grandchildren, making sure her children receive a good secondary education and later on have an opportunity for university studies.
