Amina's story

Amina is 57 years old and lives with her husband. She was born into a simple farming family with many children and since childhood, Amina has been independent and helpful to her mother in running the household. Amina has a high school education. The children she raised with her husband live in Bishkek.

Amina is a very cheerful, kind and honest woman. She and her husband are pensioners. Her husband helps her run the household and works as a taxi driver in his spare time. Since 1992, Amina has been involved in keeping livestock. Their startup capital was 1,000 Som (KGS). Thanks to their hard work and dedication, they now have one cow and ten sheep on their farm. Their monthly income is about 3,000 Som (KGS).

In order to further increase the number of her livestock, Amina has turned to "Bai-Tushum and Partners" for a loan of 20,000 Som (KGS) to buy sheep. From the proceeds of this loan, she plans to increase her head of livestock and improve thus improve their living conditions. Amina plans to use the revenue from the increased livestock to buy a refrigerator.
