Teresita of Looc, Plaridel supports her family through her dressmaking or sewing business. She is a 64-year-old married mom of eight children. She tries her best to earn on her own.
For 30 years, she has managed this business and earns about PHP 8,000 per month. For the time being, she is in need of buying sewing materials such as textiles, thread, etc.
She joined in 2009 and thanks GDMPC microfinance for the loan of PHP 18,000 they are providing to her.
Teresita desires to improve her business in the future.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
